1.2Significance of the Study
This research study was helped out in investigation and sorting out the impact of information and communication technology on academic performance of students at university level. Find out the attitudes of university students to use Information and Communication Technology to improve their learning as respect of international relation. It helps the students as well as teacher to understand the importance of internet and how internet enhances the learning of students. It thus determines the future needs and demands of information and communication technology at higher education level regarding international relation education.
CHAPTER 3
METHODOLOGY
3.1Introduction
Investigation of research data collection through experimental way and examination, both are important portions of an investigation study (Blaxter et al., 2001). This section heaves light on several measurements of the methods & procedures implemented for the data collection & analysis. It also reproduces the appropriateness of methods engaged for gathering and analysis data for individual research study (Anderson, 2004). The optimal of suitable research work method is important for receiving the result of the research problem by construction and selection of the accurate and right methods for research work (Farooq et al., 2007).
Thus, the suitable methodology covers the way for gain access to the purpose of correct, reliable and valid consequences of research study (Khan, 2007). In this section, the information was organized regarding the research study area, selection of sampling, research conducting technique including research tools also known instrumentation, selection of data collection, questionnaire for the respondents and analysis of collected data are discussed here.
3.2Research Design
The appropriate research design is the actual principle of receiving the clarification of the research study as well as the conclusion about the choice of the accurate and right approaches appropriate to problem underneath research study. The value of research study rises concluded the command of the various extents of research data and aiming the correct results of research problem. For the determination of retrieving the purpose of perfect, reliable and valid research results, the plane pathway is the suitable research design of research study (Khan, 2007).
The descriptive survey research was seen in several social sciences studies in world, such as Lodhi, 2003 and Ashraf, 2008. The descriptive research study is supportive to get profound insight about the research problem to get an actual picture of the circumstances (Denscombe, 2003). So in this research study the descriptive research design was applied for availing the actual result. Keeping in view the strength of descriptive survey research, it was used for purpose to obtain the research data regarding the student indolent regarding the impact of information and communication technology on student achievement with international relation perspective. Besides, cross sectional examination was used which imitates the research data gathering at a fact of time nevertheless the span of time is not restricted it may surpass to months or further (Borg and Gall, 1989).
3.3Research population
The study was conducted in Iqra University Islamabad campus (IUI), for purpose of find out the impact of information & communication technology on students’ academic achievement as regard of international relation the five deportment of IUI was selected with sub division, degrees and disciplines such as BSc. (Honor)/Master (16years), MSc. (Honor)/Master in Philosophy (18years) and Doctor of Philosophy (21years education).
3.4Sampling
In this research study the random sampling technique was applied on based of limited of time and sources it was somewhat tough to cover the whole deportment of the IUI. Thus Iqra University Islamabad campus was selected. Moreover, IUI is one of the important educational institutes as regard of international relation education is concerned. The IUI lies in a twines city of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Various deportment with sub divided degrees and disciplines such as Social science, Electronic engineering, Media studies, Business management, computer science deportment and Fashion and design.
3.4.1Sample size
The Wimmer and Dominick (2003) stated that there are no soft and hard rules for designing the sample size of a research survey. The nature of research study defines the sample size. The additional important is the method of assortment subjects relatively the size (Best and Kahn, 2006). The simple size in this study constructed through Tylor (10%) ideology of sample where four deportments selected in IUI from each of department the 10% students selected for data collection, the total sample size was selected 200 of students.

3.5Collection of Research Data
3.5.1Development of research tools
There are many instruments for collection of research data like observation checklist, questionnaire and interview schedule. The questionnaire was designed for this study with validity and reliability of purpose to receive the impact of information and communication technology on student’s achievement (Denscombe, 2003).
Keeping in view the objectives of the research a questionnaire was developed for the IUI student. During development of questionnaire, in addition to research experts such as supervisor, co-supervisor and university deportment also keep in concern for related data. Considering, the appropriateness of Likert scale for considering the students attitude and observations, a five point Likert scale was used i.e. Scale 1 = Strongly Agree, 2 = Agree, 3 = Undecided, 4 = Disagree, 5= Strongly disagree, Scale 1= All the time, 2= Most of the time, 3= Sometimes, 4= Rarely, 5= Never and Scale 1 = M. Important 2 = Important 3 = Not at all
3.5.2Validity
Validity ensures precision of the instrument judged with respect to specialists by checking the instrument keeping in see the reason for which it is produced (Wimmer and Dominick, 2003). As the exact information accumulation is for the most part the result of research instrument having both face and substance legitimacy. For this reason, in the wake of giving the survey a last shape, the specialists from Iqra University of Islamabad were counseled to check the legitimacy of the examination instruments. They fundamentally checked the survey and gave their positive and valuable proposals.
3.5.3Pre-testing
Considering the importance of pre-testing, the questionnaire was pre-tested on 30 students who were not included in the selected sample of research study. After pre-testing some changes were incorporated in the questionnaire.
3.5.4Reliability
Reliability of the research instrument is the counterpart of the validity. Both reliability and validity of research instrument are essential for getting quality data. Among these aspects internal consistency of the instrument has its own distinctive place.
3.6Data Analysis
Simply collection of fresh collected data through questionnaire is of no use. It requirement be in a presentable form for gathering some sort of conclusions. Data analysis is essential for research study the way of presenting the data in a comprehensible and complete style (Khan, 2007). The collected data were narrated on excel sheet and further transferred on computer software SPSS for analyzing. Percentages, mean, standard deviation were computed. After that the analyzed data designed on tabulated form for further results and discussion.
CHAPTER 4
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
4INTRODUCTIONS
Today we live in an era of information in which more people must acquire more information, which in turn requires more technological support, both demands and creates more information. The research study was conducted for the purpose to examine the impact of information and communication technology on students achievement and to investigate the student’s utilization of ICT for purpose of seeking k...
