Rabies is the main diseases that the raccoon(Procyon lotor) contact, and it can be transmitted to both the wild animals and human beings. The authors try to analyze the contact structure of the raccoons according to the seasons and sex patterns. The analysis was made possible by the discovery of new technology that enables the biologists to discover the social contacts of these animals. The article analyses the control measures for the rabies disease to prevent the spread of this disease. When the dynamic system of contact between Raccoons was analysed according to their proximity, different behaviors were discovered for infectious raccoons, for example, aggression and impaired mobility. The results showed that there is a high possibility of an outbreak when rabies enters a raccoon population.

The article analyses the possibility of survival of a rehabilitated Raccoon that has been released during winter as compared to a wild raccoon. The variables that were put into consideration included their body condition before the winter, the size of the home range, and the distance that they traveled from the humanmade structures after their release. The results showed that the raccoons could be rehabilitated successfully, but they will tend to occupy habitats that are closer to the human-made structures as compared to the wild raccoons.
