Elevated rates among the youth may be regarded as perhaps the most visible poignant marker of the additional physical and psychological burden of many in the American population more so, the ones in the rural and remote settings. The increasing rate of youth suicide among the American community has been a thing of concern. Therefore, proper corrective measures have been put in place for the communities due to the alarmingly high rates of unwarranted deaths. However, the effectiveness of these interventions has been a doubt for many as the youth suicide incidences continue to soar. However, although youth suicide remains national crisis for decades despite the vast interventions, the elimination of social, economic, and health disparities can reverse this worrying trend. This paper is an annotated bibliography on the most effective measures to curb youth suicide.
