The article aims at reviewing the prevalence of the e-cigarette user’s perceptions regarding the safety of e-cigarettes and as a less harmful alternative to tobacco cigarettes. The article also correlates the influences of the conception that e-cigarettes fosters none or less harm to the health of the users. The method used to collects data involves a Cross-sectional survey. A sample of 2,103 participant, aged between 11 to 18 years old was used to collect the data. Using the data, the prevalence e-cigarette harm perception, as well as the associations between accurate e-cigarette and nicotine harm perceptions were established. The integrity of the articles and reliability of the result reflects on the significantly wide range of variable used in data collection process. The authors conclude that an inaccurate harm perceptions of e-cigarettes and nicotine exist among the youths and this aspect continues to influence or rather fuel young people’s engagement in the vaping behavior.
