Na’im questions whether it is possible to predict distinctive dispositions held by Christian worshippers in the modern industrial society and defends his position on the issue. He provides an argument on discursive traditions that lead to religious practices at specific times and places. The article is essential in my research as it will enable me to analyze the controversy on a rule that exempted some religious organizations from offering the ACA coverage while other institutions sponsored by religious organizations were not exempt.
“Policing Aboriginality in Aboriginal Community Policing” by Cefai
Cefai examines cultural, political, and institutional conditions under which police officers from Aboriginal communities’ work and how policy bureaucracy challenges Aboriginal policing. Knowledge in the article will enable me to understand institutional advancements that have been made in Aboriginal policing, which will help me analyze whether the ACA law is an inclusive law that is against institutional racism.
