Gender Equality Enhances Freedom and Justice for All (Article Sample)

Instructions:

For Thomas Sankara, gender justice is key to Africa’s liberation, while Amilcar Cabral argues that
culture is the bulwark against annihilation. But it is Winnie Madikizela-Mandela who
demonstrates that, in processes of transformation, it is the routinely overlooked women who hold
up and drive the revolutionary spirit of resistance. What are your views on each of the three
authors’ central argument?
please use ONLY the  articles provided, no outside sources. The writing should be 5 full pages
from the first line of page 1 to last line of page 5. Thanks.

Gender justice is meant to point out equality in dignity, power, freedom, and privilege to people of varying genders as an inevitable thing in societal development. Gender equality enhances freedom and justice for all genders and gives them freedom of choice in making the right developments required in societies.
Thomas Sankara was right in his justification that gender justice was the main thing to the liberation of Africans (Thomas, 12). He recognized women as creators of humanity since they had suffered frustration, rejection, humiliation but they are still a source of happiness to all humans. Although women were seen to be weak, they possess the inner ability to inspire the whole nation to a successful city that deserves to be honored. Thomas recognized women as mothers and our comrades in struggle as they are our champions and mothers to all of us. It is for this reason that everyone should be treated equally in the fight top revolution. This helps to show the light in that men and women should acquire equal treatment while playing their assigned roles in society. This was the only way to the development of Africans as there would be a combination of creativity from all sides. Recognition of women in society had a lot of advantages as it put an end to the slavery that many Africans went through. To win the battle of equal treatment in men and women, people first learned how the system worked. This would help them to recognize where the presence of women was needed most.
The consciousness of women was not only reflected by their sexuality but also in the social-economic structure. This would help to demonstrate the technological level achieved by various societies since women were the backbone of most developments. Since early times, women were noticed to come to the rescue of men as most duties assigned to men always required the assistance of women. Equal treatment of both men and women would help to reduce the violence that most women normally experience. All through, women were recognized to experience fate as their attributes were always turned against them. This fate was increased as women also suffered condemnation from their husbands in their places of work. Men were known to take advantage of these chances of oppression directed to women in oppressing them even more. It is for this reason that women were viewed to be weak (Hassim, 14). When it comes to societal development, women should be empowered to make great changes. Men should stop oppressing women more but instead fight for their recognition. Due to the loving nature of women, when given a chance they will help fight for the liberation and freedom of Africans. This is because they are true to their emotions and they would hate to see their fellow citizens suffer.
I agree with Amilcar Cabral, one of the important decisions makers in African politics in that culture has contributed to making the foundation in African liberation Cabral knew that capital denomination depended on the dehumanizing colonial power. The dehumanization process largely concentrated on destroying the culture of Africans by its colonizers. Since culture is an expression of the history of a certain society, it somehow helped in the foundation of liberation. Africans would be entitled to more slavery in absence of their culture. In this way, they would be treated as slaves with no history by their colonizers. The colonizers would make this to their advantage and thus treat them they wish. African culture came to the rescue of Africans since they always fought to maintain it. This was one of the ways that Africans acquired their freedom. Before achieving this freedom, colonizers had destroyed the African’s way of doing things. For some time, Africans had forgotten how to run their shrines and their societies. Culture helped Africans to resist any form of slavery that they came along with that was meant to sweep away their culture (Badat, 7).
