Problem Statement
The company has outdated emergency procedures. Its data center is located far from the company and in case of emergency, the IT personnel has to travel to assess the situation. This makes the system more vulnerable in case of a hack as it takes time to try and remotely access their server or shut down the system to minimize damage. Additionally, its QData technology is outdated and insecure which leaves the company vulnerable. The IT personnel were aware of the vulnerability of the QData technology but they did not communicate it to the management until it was too late CITATION Aus09 \l 1033 (Austin & Short, 2009). The company was not prepared for any emergency technical threats and therefore the company could not react. The chain of command in the company was not well established and the communication about the problem took more time. This escalated the problem bearing in mind that the company had a deficit operating procedures. There is need for the company to change their information technology infrastructure and redesign its Business Process Improvement. To do so successfully, there are various things that the company must understand.
