Introduction
World Bicycle Relief is a hugely successful program that, since its inception, has given out or traded more than 392,000 bicycles in nineteen developing nations. Some of the developing countries that have benefited from the bicycle donations include Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Kenya, among others. World Bicycle Relief has improved thousands of lives by donating rugged bicycles to learners, healthcare personnel, entrepreneurs, and natural calamity victims. For instance, WBR donated bikes to Sri Lanka tsunami victims. After the December 2004 tsunami hit, FK Day and his beloved wife were wondering about the way they could be of help to victims. Upon seeing the blow of the calamity area, it caught their attention that the most substantial challenge was transportation. Day and his group worked out with the Sri Lanka suppliers to develop an excellent design bicycle. After giving out more than 24,000 bikes to tsunami survivors, learners, business individuals, and community workers, it dawned bright to have been a brilliant idea that drew several associates on the way. Additionally, the World Bicycle Relief researched on what other opportunities this idea could have a significant impact on to benefit the community. It was established that they needed to open up this noble project to other nations in dire need.
