Furthermore, merging is a popular strategy in attaining organizational growth and obtaining a competitive advantage. To survive in an industry, companies must team up to overcome competition with other companies. Companies' mergers and acquisitions are also more valuable than one separate company because it will create a more significant market share and achieve greater efficiency. Competition arising in the global market has become a significant issue for strategic managers. Companies use the merger as a tool for improving their long term profitability. Merging occurs by purchasing shares in the open market or friendly setting where managers from respective companies participate to ensure successful combinations.
