Weaknesses of Oracle Park Events’ SWOT Analysis
Ever since its establishment, it has been more than a culture that alongside San Francisco (SF) Giants’ thrilling games, the Giants’ Enterprise – Oracle Park, is also home to some of the most popular and exciting events in the United States. In other words, besides baseball, there is so much that goes on at Oracle Park and beyond throughout the year. Driven by a unique interest in event planning, the facility’s ballpark is of great importance. Because of its breathtaking views and design, an umpteen of concerts, races, and other non-baseball events are held at this park throughout the year. That being said, this park has been called one of the best boutique baseball parks and if you ever have a chance, definitely watch a game. Nevertheless, Oracle park has an array of weaknesses that stem from things such as ticket pricing and selling, accessibility as well as expensive foods in the park.
Getting tickets to Oracle park in any typical day is of great concern because one can only buy them either directly from the Giants or the enterprise’s official ticket resale site: StubHub (stubhub.com). However, unlike when purchasing tickets at a Giants ticket window at the park (where there are no extra charges), this process poses one of the franchise's most significant weak points in the sense that if you do it via the web, fans are charged extra for handling. In other words, buying tickets via this site is more expensive because you have to pay extra for processing. As a result, this shifts the handling burden to fans – consequently, making it too expensive to buy their tickets on time.
