An organic cosmetic product is one that is produced from organically farmed ingredients. These ingredients are grown without the use of Genetically Modified Organisms, fertilizers and use of herbicides and they are considered to be environmental friendly. The cosmetic industry has diversified its managerial and marketing structure over the years towards customer needs, trends and towards a healthier lifestyle and requirement for natural cosmetics (Ali et al., 2016).In 2013, the global cosmetics market grew by an estimated 3.8% compared to the previous year and it is expected that global sales of natural and organic cosmetics will achieve an amount of twenty four billion US Dollars in 2020.(Beauty Industry Analysis 2015- cost and trends).Women have proved to be the major consumers of cosmetic products and they are moving towards acquiring organic cosmetics because of the advantages that come along with them. Foster (2014) investigated female consumer’s beauty product shopping behavioral patterns, their perceived importance of the product attributes and their purchase attitude towards natural beauty products. Results show that consumers’ product attitudes and shopping behavior are influenced by their health and environmental consciousness. Below are the reasons why female customers want to purchase these organic products.
