Human resources are an important pillar of a business and so is the Human Resource management department as it is responsible fir hiring and maintaining the work force of an organization. The cornerstone of every successful organization is their human resources, productive and well-motivated work force result in good performance for the company. This coupled with good leadership creates a good organizational culture where people give their best at work, avoid shirking and are generally motivated. The aspects of human resource management are wide in range and this is further magnified when it is practiced at the international scene. A company that is seeking to expand to other countries has numerous considerations to put in place before deciding on the staff they will be suing for the business in that different country. A case study of Holiday Vilas is undertaken to analyze the challenges and trends in changing global workforce, global human resource policies, functions, and practices, the intercultural competencies of an effective citizen and the impact of cultures on the globalized workforce. Further, recommendations to the management of the hotel in terms of where to source employees, the method of recruitment to be used and the most suitable selection process is done in a memo format.
