Donald Trump as a Presidential Candidate
Introduction
Donald Trump is the 45th and present-day head of nation in the United States of America. He was a business person and television personality before entering politics (Mansfield, 2017). Therefore, the paper attempts to illustrate my perception of him as a presidential candidate in terms of his merits and cons for voting for him.
Merits
My take on Donald Trump as a presidential candidate is he deserves to be part of the race not just because he is an American, but because he has fulfilled most of the promises he initially made during his campaigns in 2016. Some of the merits that qualify him as a presidential candidate is he has successfully reduced the corporate tax rate and huge tax cuts are working for Americans. The tax was brought down from 35% to 15% (Mansfield, 2017). He promised to choose Supreme Court judges that respect the Second Amendment for what it stands for and what it presents. He has effectively appointed two, i.e. Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh.
