It is scientifically proven that the surface temperatures have risen by more than 0.9 degrees Celsius over time. The effects of global change are visible in the earth right now. Some effects visible are the melting sea ice and glaciers in the poles and the tremendous shifts in precipitation patterns (Bray, Carter & Hooke, 1992) amongst others.
Climate change is different from global warming unlike popular belief. Climate change is the complex shifts in the earth’s climate and weather patterns (Change, 2014). Some of the physical evidence of climate change in the environment are; rapid heat waves, increased precipitation and downpours especially in the north Eastern part of the country. The sea levels have also risen rapidly over the past few years contributed by the fact that the glaciers and sea ice melting in the North and South poles.
