* Quality improvement and quality Assurance in organization.
Quality in teaching is an aspect of great importance. As denoted by Ferguson (2011), quality is the most important factor in schools. Quality teaching refers to the scenario whereby the teacher is able to influence students in engagement and achievement. To this reason, the government and other stakeholders are keen to ensure teacher quality is achieved.
In our school, we have various measures and parameters to determine the quality. We have various indicators to determine the quality of teachers. Teaching is a wide concept and quality cannot be determined by one scale. Performance of teachers is based on the ability to produce students who achieve academic excellence, improve the mean score of students in a little time framework, developing discipline in children among other things (Scales et al 2011).
Quality of services need to be improved from time to time. The school has set major quality improvement milestones as the guideline. The quality of education on basis of students to teachers’ interaction, students discipline are some of the guidelines to the quality improvement. Every year, teachers and other stakeholders set targets and goals pertaining quality delivery of services in the school. Quality assurance is the agency that considers and evaluates quality delivery of education in the school. The agency considers many aspects of quality in service delivery such as teacher mastery of content, ability to teach diverse students, improvement of students in a classroom and discipline of the students.
* Functions of self-assessment and self-evaluation
Self-assessment and self-evaluation is an important aspect in teaching. For advancement in the career, one needs to evaluate his/her capability as this is needed. For the cumulative quality to be achieved, quality delivery must be from an individual. Self-assessment is a way in which a teacher gets to know the best areas of performance and areas he/she needs to improve on (Clark, 2012).
Through self-assessment, teachers crave to be great and through this process, education reforms are generated. Reforms are generated in the education sector. The eventual product of this will be production of students with good academic excellence, good discipline and with good interpersonal relations. Functional assessment helps the teacher to improve and attain the following:
A quality teacher has high expectations for his/her students. The teacher expects the students to achieve great. This vision is enhanced by a visionary teacher who clearly understands the students and has faith even to the underachievers (Kember, 2002).
Self-evaluation helps the teacher to focus on the goal of the organization. This goal is achieved when the teacher has his own objectives. These objectives need to be in line with the goals and vision of the entire organization. As a teacher, interaction with students also increases. Through evaluation, a teacher may improve in his methods of interaction thereby giving students a chance to ask questions on areas they don’t understand. Through evaluation, a teacher is able to focus more on the areas with little mastery of subject and this helps him/her to improve on those areas (Clark, 2012). Lastly, communication is enhanced between the teachers and parents.
* Evaluate your learning program taking in account quality arrangements
Our learning program is facilitated in a way that considers quality. Quality is facilitated through various ways in the curriculum. To obtain quality delivery of teaching services in schools, our program has initiated interaction programs which helps teachers and students to have a good interpersonal relationship. To enhance quality, mastery of subject is enhanced to make the teacher teach what they feel best suited in. Improvement of the underachievers is one of the emphasis of quality delivery. To ensure that is provided, a program to help those students with slow understanding is initiated to teachers to help them understand various processes to use when dealing with these kind of students. Effective communication with parents training is instated in our program to enable a teacher to develop the correct communication skills with parents to enable cooperation. Our program also has calls for reward scheme in schools. Teachers who perform exemplary well in their subjects are provided with the awards that denote their efforts (Clark, 2012). Through this system, teachers will strive to give their best in schools. Our program also entails provision of ways to ensure the students are obedient and follow rules.
