Diversity training is among the functions of a human resource manager. The practice in the workplace aims at bringing cohesion and making the working environment conducive for all. Every workplace has a mandate to accommodate people of all tribes, races, sex, religion, and sexual orientation. The core purpose of being in the work environment is to pursue and execute the company goals (Wildermuth & Gray, 2005). Despite the differences people have, there are the organizational goals to accomplish. Differences in the variety of options bring about diversity, which is healthy for any organization. Diversity training could work both positively and negatively. The positive outcomes of diversity training include; better functioning relationships between employees, an increase in productivity, and enhancement of issue, to mention but a few.
