A walk through the school Farm
I am in the public library, where I visit every Saturday
Today I am reading a book on ecology authored by Richard Hobbs
This book examines the invasive species challenges globally
I have been reading for the last two hours, then the tour begins
I walk towards the green gates, they resembles the vegetation inside
I am starving, I don’t know if there is fruitlet by the side
An adventure untold, but now in the farm I tide
The garden, and the plantation so fresh
The carrot is so bright, glowing translucent by the sunlight
A guard walks slowly towards me, "I am you guide," he says
A lighted form in my face, twisted in appreciation
Because I will need someone for interpretation
Of the many tree species and vegetation around
This is an academic tour
Take a fruit from the tree on the way side, an orange
"It’s a fruit in season, it will not kill you”
So colourful and attractive
Orange, yellow warning orange fruit
