Re: Reaffirmation for the Right to Life
Introduction
I would like to give my opinion on capital punishment. My name is Fahadal, a 3rd year college student. I would like to echo the phrase “all men are equal” which indexed the core belief of the famous Abolitionist Movement, a group that fought against slavery in the United States of America. That was in the 1830s when people were blinded by racism yet today the same heartless acts of destroying people’s souls rein the court (Bessler, 2018). Do not we have a second chance? As the death penalty’s abolition movement say, the court is never mistaken- free (Silverman, 2016). For that reason, an innocent person may inevitably face execution, following impaired judgment. Unfortunately, states have executed offender in the past, but the contemporary judiciary needs to do away with capital punishments. Capital punishment is an act against the right to life.
