The main reason why Cleopatra found a common cause with Julius Caesar and Mark Antony was because of her ambitious political agenda. Cleopatra wanted to use Julius Caesar in her aim to get back her power and regain lost glory. This was after her older brother has forced her out of the throne. Caesar had fallen in love with her, which was advantageous to Cleopatra (Schanzer, 2013). Caesar was a powerful man, and he was able to help Cleopatra get back the throne.
