What do these scholars mean by “International Liberal Order” and how they define it?
Scholars define “Liberal International Order” as the greater individual freedom, democracy, private enterprise, free-market capitalism, an independent judiciary, separation of state and church, free trade support and belief in constitutional reforms ("What is the liberal world order?" n.d.). The American and European foreign regulation focus on threats that interfere with rules, institutions and norms, and, refer to it as "liberal world order." The terms "Liberal International order" is challenging to define. Some theorist and scholars refer liberal order as the "open and rule-based" international order. Others scholars refer to liberal order as multilateral system. Several people confuse the term "Liberal International Order" with political or economic liberalism.
"Liberal International Order" incorporates both economic, political and social liberalism. In the U.S Liberal order promotes cooperation, collective problem solving, and progressive change, shared sovereignty and democratic community ("What is the Liberal International Order?" 2019).
