Development and growth of human beings goes hand in hand with the environmental experiences as well as genetic influences associated with an individual. Such experiences vary depending on the life stages of human beings. As you can imagine, the variability of such experiences can have a dramatic effect on the development of human beings. For instance, while some people may receive enriched life experiences from parents or guardians who are responsive, listening and very caring, some other people may receive less attention or care from their parents. Parents or guardians with financial difficulties might give divided attention due to distraction of worrying about money, job security or even relationship issues. I will reflect some of my personal experiences that have played a significant role in the process of growth and development.
