Executive Summary
A significant number of older people, above the age of 65, are socially isolated due to their age with a majority living alone. Research studies have shown that approximately one in ten older adults are always or often feeling lonely (Azeredo & Afonso 2016). Loneliness, especially to older people, is associated with negative issues such as depression, high blood pressure, increased alcohol intake, and poor quality of life (Singh & Misra 2009). The idea, therefore, is to start a nutrition business that is entrepreneur-based to try and minimize the issues faced by older people.
