Program Description
Sinclair student business incubation program is a curriculum-based plan aimed at providing students with the knowledge and resources to start and build successful businesses. The program will provide interested students with the training, tools and infrastructure essential for faster and smarter company startup and growth. The course line up will also include leadership, communication skills, entrepreneurship and basic business concepts. The syllabus is exclusive and limited to students enrolled for a course in the Sinclair learning institute. In addition, only students that are interested and satisfy the various requirements will be allowed to participate in the course.
Market Segmentation
This opportunity will only appeal to certain groups of students. The coordinators believe that a significant number of scholars enrolled in the business course will be interested in undertaking the program. However, the course will be open for other students enrolled in other courses. Market segmentation will be used to identify the different categories of students within the target market. Sinclair Student Business Incubation Program will segment the target market according to demographics, psychographics and behavior.
Demographics will consider student’s age, gender and cultural background. This criterion will inform the program coordinators in curriculum development that will fulfill the interests of specific groups.
The considerations in psychographics include learner’s opinion, attitude and personality. In this regard, the diverse lifestyles of the students will be taken into account in this criterion.

SWOT Analysis
Strengths: The strengths include a diversity of services, curriculum based training and online presence of learning materials. The Sinclair incubation program provides a variety of services that include training and development, funding, networking and partnership opportunities for all the interested students. The training will be conducted based on a curriculum that eases the instruction exercise. Students who wish to undertake an online training program will be able to access the relevant materials.
Weaknesses: The program currently has an inadequate number of registered expert trainers. Secondly, the coordinators have not developed a field course that will enable the students to exercise the concepts learned in class or workshops. Lastly, Sinclair incubation program does not have wide recognition within and outside the region, which is a weakness that limits their networking and collaborating opportunities.
Opportunities: The venture has an opportunity to receive government funding in order to develop the concept to best serve the interested parties.
