Is virtue a Content of Happiness?
The statement that happiness is determined by ourselves more than anything else or anybody else is undebatable. Aristotle pinpoints happiness as being the driving force and the center of human life and an objective in the aforementioned. Consequently he dedicates extra energy and thought in trying to decrypt the whole idea of happiness in which he draws meaningful inferences. That is to say, happiness is subject to the growth of virtues, although to a certain degree his virtues are extra unconventional than the fundamental social virtues of Confucianism. Aristotle elucidates that fulfilling of a couple of conditions, comprising of physical along with mental health is vital for a candid happy life.
Aristotle avows that whoever stays in accord with ample virtue and is adequately supplied with external possessions, not only for a shorter period but also his entire lifetime, then he or she is happy (Nicomachean Ethics, 1101a10). This means that the most key factor as we strive in achieving happiness is to possess a great moral personality, which he denotes as “complete virtue”.
