Day 13
As an effect of a landslide that took place in Salvador, Brazil, the local defense officials in the state confirmed that at least 14 people have lost there lives. The incident was caused by a series of heavy rainfall that was recorded from the 26th to 28th of April 2015. The area has been dominated with a series of heavy rainfall in the past that has caused numerous landslides in the past. The civil defense forces in Salvador thus reported that the series of heavy rainfall recorded has caused a total of 141 landslides (Hess). This incident that look place in this particular date was as a result of floods caused by the rainfall that was recorded. A lot of property worth millions was destroyed from the floods. This is far from the dozens of lives that were lost in the incidents. The civil defense forces in Salvador has from then developed strategies that will help cub this disasters from occurring in the future.
The Colorado River was the driving force that was highlighted as the cause and reason for the development of the Grand Canyon. As a result of the collision of the plates fount in the North America and referred to as the Northern Arizona, the development of the Grand Canyon from the river was developed. Rocky Mountains were formed as a result of the two plates overlapping on each other. The Rocky Mountains were developed on Colorado plateau as a result of the river flowing on the plateau, the river was unable to expand its flow thus the river went through the layers of the flat bed thus creating the Grand Canyon (Gross).

Day 14
It is true that human activities will tend to influence the Karst topography. This is described so due to the fact that the increase in deforestation activities of human beings and thus deterioration of the landscape that they exist in. for instance, the increased immigration and the rapid population increase in major towns has caused an overload in the drainage systems. This is mainly evident in major urban and commercial cities. The poor drainage facilities will tend to affect the underground water supply system that can be an important source of mineral water. This will thus cause a change in the water table.
The Yellowstone has been considered to be a unique place over the decades due to a number of reasons presented. One of the main reasons for its uniqueness is due to the fact that there are a lot of animal species represented in the area. This is the park that is home to a large number of animals that ever existed in the country thus creating its uniqueness. The other reason for its uniqueness is due to the fact that it is historically considered to be the main source of the North American continent. This is evident due to the rocks that are of age present there with some aging up to 3.2 billion years that are also present in the North America (Darrel). The other reason why it is considered to be unique is due to the fact that it has a beautiful scenery. The place has a lot of waterfalls with the number mounting to 300 of them, it the center of world’s water hot springs that are a source of tourist attraction in the recent years. These are the reasons that make the Yellowstone a unique place.

Day 15
A.)The photos were taken at lateral moraines along the sides of the salmon glaciers in Britain. Both the pictures were taken from the same location from a different angle and a different view. A larger surface of the glacier was once covered with a sediment rock debris coating before the change recorded later. From the second picture, we can observe that there are minimal sediment rock debris. Moist of the ice that was present on the first landscape has been lost to the ablation and sediment that is left behind. This is however a very minimal level that can be considered negligible. From the pictures above, it is observed that the water levels in the second picture have increased due to the effect presented. There is also an increase in vegetation cover in the second picture compared to the first picture. This is because of the reduction of the ice level in the second picture.
B.) There are areas in the map that will eventually be covered with water and be underwater. These areas are considered to be areas under sea level and are represented by the areas colored blue in the map. The projection of the sea levels in the near future are dependent on the increase in the water levels as a result of melting ice due to global warming. The ice will be in the form of ice bergs in seas and oceans, icecaps on mountains and the ices on land for instance in the case of Greenland and Antarctic regions. Despite this, the projections presented, it can vary depending on the changing of the gravity fields as a result of ma...
