Abstract
Occupational Health and Safety compliance is crucial to ensuring a safe and healthy work place in all organizations. Interviewer led questionnaire was used to collect the data for the study. This study sought investigate the extent to which the SMEs in rural towns of UK comply with the Occupational Health and Safety requirements and the challenges they face in their compliance efforts, with focus on SMEs at Hawes, York City.
