Each film has themes and visual queues that are specific to the director. According to the article, each director has a specific artistic identity that is recognizable or can be identified, in all their films. Just like personality and other aspects that shape the identity of an individual and differentiate them from another, artistic identity separates a film director from others. For a film director to be considered an alpha, his complete style or artistic identity and control over all the elements of production must give a film its personal and unique stamp. The director must be able to produce that only he can, something that is unique to his artistic identity, and something that no one else can produce (Proferes & Medina, 2017). He must be able to utilize the tools and aspects of filmmaking through the lenses of his mind and unique personality. One must have a personality that distinguishes him from the rest, technical competence, and interior meaning.
