Introduction
Maize have a unique importance among the all other cereal crops in the world with 24% share in the world grain production (Abid, 1983). The annual production of corn in Pakistan is 4944 thousand tons per year ( Anonymous, 2015). But the crop per year production is reducing due to many biotic factors like fungi (Iqbal et al., 2014), bacteria (Shahbaz et al., 2015; Aslam et al., 2017a, b), nematodes and mainly with the insect pests (Ahmad et al., 2002, 2003, Naz et al., 2003). The crop is attacked by 140 different insect pests at different growing stages (Siddiqui and Marwah,1993), but some species of insects are more destructive for the corn crop and taking as a major pests like Chilo partellus, Rhopalosiphum maidis (Moharram, 1996), Sesamia inference, Mythimna seprata, Atherigona soccata, and many species of termites in Pakistan. Here are the two major categories of pests of corn in Pakistan sucking and chewing insect pests which are big threat in country.
