1.0 WHAT HAPPENED
1.1 Description
The Royal Darwin Hospital in-learning experience is experimental for a placement nurse, and it was no different from my duration of training. As I was stationed in the accident and emergency, my attention was turned towards a patient recovering from an accident with numerous injuries both facial and fractures. As a result, the patient was referred for surgery and then had to be admitted for intensive care. Due to the complications after surgery, I was assigned the duty of providing nursing essentials to make his stay and recovery processes a comforting period. When offering care to the patient, I was required to practice the various skills that I had learned in my nursing classes. For instance, I had to ensure that the patient took adequate oral intake.
