Al Qaeda Terrorist Group
Al Qaeda is one of the international Islamist terrorist networks comprising clandestine and organization regional affiliates having different communication degrees with operational and ideological leaders. Realization of its primary goal of Islamic rule version establishment across all the Muslim territory depends on the group's ability to continuously adapt new operational patterns to respond to global counterterrorism efforts. In the past years, this strategy has led to the arrest of the majority of its leaders. The strategy of this group of driving the U.S from Muslim lands includes waging an extended terror campaign resulting in substantial economic, political, and physical damage forcing the withdrawal of the U.S from the region. However, the Al Qaeda group's central leadership lacks the capability of waging war itself, thus relying on local allies and affiliates to strike at Western and U.S interests (Lee, 2015). The perception is that removing Western powers and the U.S would weaken, allowing them to oust the apostate rulers. In the long run, it will create a power vacuum, and the group and its affiliates will fill it.
