Introduction
Aluminum foam is a cellular structure generated from aluminum metal. It may have some characteristic of the aluminum metal since it is its parent. The foam is manufactured to be used in different field and for application in various areas.
Material
Aluminum foam occurs in tow structures. These structures are stochastic/ reticulate foam and regular stacked cell foam.
Properties

The main mechanical properties include a high strength to weight ratio and a full isotropic load response. Other properties include; resistance to corrosion, thermal conduction, strength and electrical conduction. It also has a high melting point. Due to these unique properties, this foam has numerous applications.
Processing
The manufacturing of the metal foam will depend on the end product foam structure that is needed.
