ACA and Health-Care Outcomes and Costs
Human health is the most significant aspect that governments grapple with addressing. Governments create healthcare policies intended to improve people's health. Of importance is the Affordable Care Act (ACA), which the US government adopted in 2010. The primary aim of ACA is to ensure that all Americans have access to affordable healthcare insurance. This policy emerged as the cost of healthcare in the United States is ballooning, yet millions of citizens cannot afford costly health charges. The ACA intends to address this challenge by providing healthcare service affordable to all. The most significant components of ACA that will improve health outcomes while decreasing costs include covering pre-existing conditions, covering individuals up to age 26, and the expansion of Medicaid to low-income individuals.
The ACA provides for coverage health issues, including pre-existing conditions. Previously, insurers provided coverage to healthcare conditions that emerge after the insured took the insurance cover.
