Cheating and Violating Academic Integrity
Cheating amongst students is very common, and it is on the increase in most academic
institutions. Moreover, as many people know, cheating has the kind of consequences that cannot only get an individual suspended, but also expelled on a college level as well. For reasons such as these, it is important to avoid cheating. Furthermore, consequences aside, it is also essential to avoid cheating, to remain with a sense of integrity about oneself as well. As “Academic Honesty and Integrity” of the UNC Charlotte states, “Academic honesty and integrity are the foundation of educational institutions, and instructors are primarily responsible for maintaining and enforcing academic honesty and integrity” (p.1). UNC Charlotte is a college that I am thinking about transferring to.
Now, I fully understand that cheating violates academic integrity, and it can lead to
