Continuous quality improvement (CQI) is a recognized managerial philosophy and method that is utilized in the current age extensively in various settings and environments. Just as its name states, CQI is an approach to quality management and the improvement of the process quality that builds upon traditional quality assurance methods (O'Neill et al., 2011). Most method characteristics mainly place their focus on a process as opposed to an individual, as they concentrate on both internal and external clients and in most cases advocate for the objective data to analyze and improve processes. CQI is a philosophy which contends that most things that can be enhanced. CQI philosophy strategically does not subscribe to the theory that “if it ain’t broke, doesn’t fix it”.
