Death penalty, also called capital punishment is the execution of a criminal punished to death once verdict is made by a court of law of a criminal offense. Death penalty is not effective since it does not deter crime, particularly murder. There is no reliable proof that the capital punishment discourages crime more successfully than extensive imprisonment. Countries that have capital punishment laws don’t have lower crime rates or massacre rates than countries without such regulations and countries that have eliminated death penalty show no significant changes in any murder or crime proportions. Capital punishment has no restrictive result. Claims that every execution discourages a particular figure of murders have remained exhaustively questioned by research. Individuals commit murders mainly in the heat of desire, in the influence of drugs and drugs, or for they are psychologically ill, giving slight or no thought toward the likely penalties of their acts.
