Respect for the inherent dignity, worth, unique attributes and human rights
The need for the right to health care is universal to everybody. Nurses are required to treat each individual with utmost respect considering their needs and values in all professional set ups. Nurses are tasked with the responsibility to establish relationships that are trustworthy and also give their services according to need and not practicing biasness. . A good patient-nurse relationship helps them find a balance between professionalism and compassionate care while connecting with the people they treat (Hagerty & Patusky, 2003). This is better explained when factors such as spiritual beliefs, race, cultures does not affect their ability to perform their duty with dignity and humility.
Nurses are also expected to respect the nature of health of human beings regardless of the factors that contribute to their health status. The status of different human beings and there unique preferences and choices means optimal nursing care is a key factor in this profession. Supportive care for instance should be given to individuals with different complications .They act as leaders who participate in assuring appropriate use of interventions in order to solve health problems and improve the well b being of others.
