Identity is a term that is mostly used to refer to a feeling of joining of the self; it is a very essential and unavoidable part of every individual life. In which different viewpoints meet up in a bound together entirety. Identity can likewise allude particularly to those parts of a person that are characterized as far as his or her gathering enrolments. Although the vast majorities are individuals from a broad range of the group, just some of those gatherings are significant as far as how we characterize ourselves. Our identity matters a lot to those people who surrounds us and mere so to those whom we relate with, being member of one society we need to portray our identity in the best way possible to those whom we relate with and are close to us. This can also be based on the language and culture such as am muslim and my language is arabaic, this was problematic when interacting with my fellow collegues.
Individual identity matters a lot when it comes to matters of negotiation; the way an individual conducts himself determines how other members of his group will view his point. In addition to this people are different in many ways and especially in the ways that they handle themselves. This is because there are different ways through which individuals identify themselves. There are people who feel that being in a crew is the best way to identify who they really are while some prefer being alone so that they get to know themselves better. In relation to this, it is possible to have people of different characters and personalities and this is what creates the different persons all over the world. Self-identity is therefore important since it is a determinant to the kind of life that an individual will live.
Once identity is one's victory that must be formed and maintained because it defines
whom one is and why they do what they do. Being a member of certain group one has to identify what is his role in that group. One has to take a distinctive role in that group and help everyone in that group to realize their roles and responsibilities. In any membership, the individual and all members have to identify who takes which role in the group. Questions which show responsibility in a particular position to a particular person for ease of control and monitoring.
The identity of members goes hand in hand with the reason you are a member of the group. The question why help to shape the identity of members of the group. All members have to determine why they take a stand in the group and be conscious of their presences and their responsibility in the group(Sharpe & Zwicker, 2010). When one is in a particular group, it then means that they are willing to abide by the rules and regulations that have been created by the particular group. This can also be based on the language and culture such as am Muslim and my language is Arabian, this was problematic when interacting with my fellow colleagues There are some individuals who want to join groups without knowing what they entail.
As a result, they may end up not being successful members of the groups since they may have to quit in the long run. It is therefore wise if one first gets to understand the roles of a certain group before they join it. It is however important for one to have a sense of belonging and this is possible through being in a particular group. These groups are in most cases formulated to help individuals who share some common interests in whatever field of life. It would therefore be important for one to know the group which best suits them. It is also in this group that individuals become responsible since they have to perform those tasks that have been assigned to them and without failure. This then makes a group productive and effective in performing its activities easily since every member owns the group (Sharpe & Zwicker, 2010).
Every member also acts to the best interests of the entire group and are willing to sacrifice whatever it is that would make the group better. This means that an individual has already identified themselves in this group and they also know which task they can perform best. This also forms group bonding where everyone is free to express their minds and air out their issues since in most cases; these groups are formed by individuals who belong to the same age bracket. This makes them effective since they are able to understand each other better.
Negotiation when people encounter new members of the group one of their most
Significant order of business they have to talk and to know each other establishing the duties and responsibilities of each member this is a process of group negotiation. Group negotiation is a good platform which enables each group member to open up and share his personality as well as his expectation from the group. It is an activity that enable group members understand each other based on their differences (Sharpe & Zwicker, 2010). These differences help the group in developing a strategy which to use making every person’s differences be an advantage to the group. This is because differences promise success of a group if used well but can also lead to failure of the group if members focused on them. This can also be based on the language and culture such as am Muslim and my language is Arabian, this was problematic when interacting with my fellow colleagues.
To this end, a procedure of personality arrangement follows in which every gathering part painstakingly watches prompts to the personalities of the other gathering individuals. This creates a forum where every individual is able to understand others and encourage them in doing what they are good at. With such members in a group, it will then be possible to have successful group where different personalities are highly appreciated. At the same time, targets attempt to impact how perceivers view them.
In a group, members are able to do things that other people in the society always
disapprove of them. This means that they do what they love best. They are in good position since they are always encouraged by the other members to do what they feel is good for them and ignore the others who keep on discouraging them. Inevitably, a working agreement develops concerning the characters that every person will accept amid the relationship. Through this group, there is the creation of agreements among members since they create a way through which activities should be done. This is done with the consideration of the different personalities of individuals which then make them perform their tasks extremely well (McCarthy & Crichlow, 2010). This can also be based on the language and culture such as am Muslim and my language is Arabian, this was problematic when interacting with my fellow colleagues .The group members are also able to work best even under no supervision since they enjoy performing their tasks. This strengthens the relationships that exist among the group members and makes them live like a family where their differences are accepted and appreciated. This therefore gives them an avenue where they are able to identify who they really are with ease as they have a sense of belonging.
Once shared characters are set up, individuals are relied upon to respect them for the rest of the relationship unless a re-transaction happens. This means that it becomes possible for an individual to develop their character as well as personality. This is because they live in a world where every person’s differences make a great count. As a result, individuals respect each other and give them a chance to be the best in playing their roles. In any group gathering people usually presents themselves while still observing the presentation of others in the same gathering.
This means that they are in a position where they can be able to compare themselves with others. Sometimes they get to see themselves better than others while other times they find the weaknesses that they have when they compare themselves with others. Depending on individual integrity and personality people will mostly adjust the aspect of their own self-presentation according to the views, integrity and reactions of the people who are around them(Walton,2008). Most individuals will however always does what they feel they are good at and overlook others. This is because they believe that they are the best in their own personality and do not see the need of being like others.
