Protesting play an important role in our every civil rights. There exists issues that might not be seen by national authorities to be of concern to the citizens. These issues can in a way be addressed through protesting. In this contest, protesting can therefore be described as the expression of an objection to the existence of something(s), someone or a setting. But why do people protest? According to a research by Stekelenburg & Klandermans (2013), people engage in protests to show their grievances that is originating from the denial, frustration or proclaimed injustice. The reasons behind protesting can either be true, false or assumptions. In another angle, protesting can be performed by those that are directly affected and those that are not directly affected.
Looking at the legality of protesting, it varies according to its structure, composition, and region of origin. In most countries, if not all, every citizen has the right to speech, freedom of expression and freedom of association, hence the right to protest. A protestor who does not engage in any violent activity during the protesting process can be described as an ambassador of natural political history.
