LensCrafters is an American retailer that deals with eyewear including sunglasses, prescription eyewear such as glasses, contacts. The company has many brands under its name including R Filter by Ray-Ban, Oakley, Michael Kors, Coach, Prada, Versace, and Tiffany ban. It is the largest eyewear company in the world. (Collier &Evans, 2014).

LensCrafters’ operations strategy
Operations strategy are the methods that a company uses to accomplish the goals and objectives that they have made for a certain period of time. These include all the activities, techniques and processes that the company utilizes in order to achieve these objectives. Operational strategies usually state how the company will implement its operations to suit the company’s values and organizational culture.
LensCrafters operational strategy is a customer-oriented strategy where the customer is the key focus. This strategy involves taking charge of the market by evaluating the markets and assessing the customer needs. This also includes adapting to the changes in the environment. The operation strategy involves providing quality eye care services to customers. The services include eye exams, prescribing eyeglasses and also sunglasses, production of glasses which are customized according to the customer's needs. The services are usually timely where the glasses are usually ready within an hour after prescription thus enhancing customer experience. (Flora, 2018).
The operation strategy also includes an effective resource management where there is proper management of the company’s resources which include assets. These resources are used to improve the quality of healthcare to all the people from both developing and developed countries. They also have a developed core competence where they have qualified staff that is well trained and developed and also motivated to work in fulfilling the customers' needs. This helps to increase sustainable customer relationships where they feel comfortable while engaging with the doctors because they believe they are the best. (Flora, 2018).

Through an effective operation strategy of providing quality eye health care services, the company is able to gain a customer base as the main competitive advantage of the company. By providing quality services, the customers are not only satisfied but they are also able to gain a reputation against the competitors. They are committed to ensuring that there is an impeccable customer experience through an efficient customer service and also excellent products. They also ensure that they have updated technology which aims at improving healthcare and also assists the customers in having the best experience. This is because they enhance the processes such as the eye tests and also help the customers in choosing the right lenses and also frames. Another competitive advantage is that they have convenience stores that are closer to customers hence showing their commitment to providing services to their loyal customers and also to the potential customers. (Flora, 2018).
They also create competitive priorities which ensure that the companies’ analysis and also corporate strategy matches with the company’s value proposition and also be at a higher level than the rest of the companies that offer similar services. To achieve this, the company should be able to make priorities and opportunity costs. They should also be able to make a cost analysis to ensure that they provide the best prices of products to their customers. LensCrafters also have a competitive advantage by differentiating their products and also developing their products to be better than those of the competing industries. (Flora, 2018).

The best solution to this problem is to ensure that the company keeps abreast with all the necessary changes by doing extensive research in different levels of technology and also making changes in the processes and techniques and also customer experience.

They also have support activities that increase the value chain such as charitable organizations that ensure that the company has not only support the organization but they also perform corporate social responsibility which involves all the stakeholders.
By having the best products on the market, they ensure that they meet the product needs of the customers. The services also ensure that they exceed the customer experience thus ensuring that the customers are satisfied with the services and products provided.
