The success of Magnolia brands highly depends on the external environment, which includes customers, government, competitors, and social forces (“Business environment: concept and components (internal and external) | Grade 11 Management Notes | TyroCity”, 2020). Customers are a significant component of any organization’s success, and hence the Magnolia brand needs to consider customer satisfaction for the brand’s success. Government subsidies and incentives will boost the business, while increasing taxes will diminish returns. Moreover, Magnolia brands need to establish favorable cultures and structures to maintain standards and improve output.
The Magnolia brand’s strengths include its monopolistic market advantage and their Fixer Upper marketing advantage. The brand has a well-defined market that trust in their products and services. Furthermore, the Magnolia brands have the upper hand in launching new product lines and stores since they can talk about it in their television show. However, all their businesses are based in Waco, Texas, and they are not willing to venture into new areas. The brand risks to be eliminated by external forces such as government policies. Moreover, they deal with different natures of business, which may limit their operational flexibility.
The new show presents an opportunity in the home remodeling industry since it displays the work of Chip and Joanna. Some clients are impressed by the results of the work done and the low costs of the houses. Through this show, the couple gains more deals to remod
