Nursing ethical dilemma refers to a situation where nurses face moral problems and are required to make choices. Moreover, in healthcare setup ethical principles compete for priorities thus posing a challenge to nurses which forces them to face a dilemma (Rainer, Schneider, & Lorenz, 2018). In such a case, the reaction may not be clear and choices are not perfect. As a result, choices may lead to a deterioration in the quality of patient care, difficult clinical affairs, and ethical distress. Besides, nurses know what is right to do but the situation forces them to do otherwise. Nurse managers are prone to ethical issues in nursing and moral distress due to their guidance and monitoring roles.
