The Potential to See a Rare Visiting Bird Species (Essay Sample)
THIS IS A RESEARCH PAPER ON THE PROPENSITY OF BIRD WATCHERS TO SPEND IN THE UK ECONOMY. FROM THE DATA ANALYZED, THE RESEASRCH CONCLUDES THAT BIRD WATCHERS TEND TO SPEND, WHICH MAKES IT A LEGITIMATE REVENUE SOURCE FOR THE UK GOVT. Most bird watchers would not spend money if they are going to watch a bird that is readily available in their locality. From a policy making perspective, this can be interpreted in two ways. First, most bird watchers are conscious about the value that comes with rare birds. Secondly, it would mean that they are willing to spend on efforts that would help in the preservation of rare birds.

INTRODUCTION
Bird watching is a popular activity in the U.K. It is deeply rooted in British contemporary culture whereby people even have bird feeding place in their residences. Over the last three decades, the number of non-native birds in the U.K has been on the rise. However, one of the best ways to determine British interest in rare birds is to empirically test their willingness to spend money watching rare birds. The rationale is to use such results to help local councils and the U.K government in crafting bird conservation strategies. In a world where animal species are going extinct due to human activities, any, move that helps incorporate community help in taking care of rare and endangered animal species are a step in the right direction towards environmental conservation. Besides the ecological aspect of it, protecting rare birds can be a source of tourist revenues for companies and local councils. The ripple effect is an increase in employment in the tourism industry. To carry out research on the impact on how the potential to see a rare bird visiting can influence bird watchers spending habits, I tested the following hypothesis.
