Everyone needs someone to relate with who interests them both intellectually and emotionally that is why there is dating and eventually marriage. Marriage offers one the chance to live with their person of choice, and this has resulted in people marrying in and out of their ethnicity. Marrying out of one’s race is termed as intermarriage and presents numerous challenges seconding the argument their objection.
There has been a rise in occurrences of intermarriages throughout the world. The main reason for this is an increased level of education, increased income levels, and age (Wang, 2012). However, the major issue of intermarriages is acceptance. Even in the 21st century, there are still those that are racially inclined and will not accept the marriage of two different races. The issue of acceptance is a problem primarily for the older generation. They are unable to accept intermarriage as a norm due to the differences in customs.
