Our Prime Minister, members of the National Assembly, ladies and gentlemen, it is with great honor to have this opportunity to stand before you and present the GOP Healthcare Bill. As you are all aware that GOP belongs to republicans who ideally have longed to repeal, amend, and replace the Affordable Care Bill. The healthcare plan was delayed to wait for 2020 general elections and avoid a repeat of the last bruising campaign. After weeks of consultations, the Republicans unveiled the GOP Healthcare Bill (GHC). To understand the content in this bill, I am going to take you through the national health care policies and explain broadly the contours of this motion. Important to note is that the bill has included crucial regards, perhaps reshaping the old health care safety as well as eliminating a greater part of the Obama-care bill.
The bill removes individual mandate where people will need not to own insurance and there will be no fines of not purchasing it. Besides, the bill restructures and cuts Medicaid. The Texas senator, Ted Cruz proposed the insurance companies to provide basic policies that cover less as their cost. According to Lambrew (2020), this can be met if only the insurance firms offer comprehensive policies in line with Obama-cares rules. The aim is to get lower premiums and more options from the insurance policy.
