Summary
The name of the book is Resilient Warrior written by Robert F. Dees. The author himself is a retired officer in U.S Army He served as director operations in the department of U.S defense this book has many interesting topics and attributes and many attractive stories which has truly touched the hearts of the readers. The name of the book depicts about the nature of this book and tells us that, this book belongs to the real warriors who have fought in the battlefield for serving and protecting their national interest at their best. (Stallard, 2014)
This book has been dedicated to brave soldiers of U.S army. They really have been busy since the last decade. After the September 9/11 the world dynamics has changed so the policy of United States of America. This book tells us about the personal experiences of General Dees who is the author of this book the author has articulated his spirituality and patriotism in a very unorthodox manner. He has laid emphasis of the "bouncing back" of the army when they bounced back in difficult situations and periods. (Jarret, 2008).
The book reveals the story of the brave, enthusiastic and committed army personnel who have sacrificed their lives for the protection of the nation and this is the best thing about this book that the author himself is the retired army officer so he understands the sacrifices, the passion, the devotion and the courage which army has right now for protecting and saving the nation. (Jarret , 2008 )
The author not only proclaims and states the physiological and physical well-being
(Pickering, 2010) of the army men but also describes that how they thrive in the difficult situations which have been facing in the battlefield since a decade. It has particularly described the examples from the bible and the new modern era soldiers who have been involved in the bloody fight and have been getting into it.
(Stallard, 2014) These soldiers have not only shown patience but stamina to fight at any battle ground at any moment but the love for the county never drop down into the hearts of the brave and courageous soldiers. The author states the words and feelings of the warriors who have never spoken their heart-out in such a beautiful and comprised manner that it shows that how much love and feelings they have for the nation. (Pickering, 2010)
This book has exceptionally conveyed the message to every single U.S national that they have to restore the spiritual power in the nation and has to be well informed because this is the right time and the high time according to the author. The spirit, velour and enigma in the hearts and minds of the soldiers are exceptional and remarkable. (Pickering, 2010)
The hardships of the battlefield, the hostility of the enemy, injuries and deaths have been curtailed and faced by the U.S army since decade they have been fighting with the terrorist with exemplary code of conducts and procedures. (Stallard, 2014)
The author himself was a great leader and mentor for the young army men and soldiers he has been the veteran soldier for the country and have fought many wars on the battle grounds, he knew the mental level and mental capacity of the soldiers which he has attributed in his lovely book. This is the love and passion of General Robert Dees which has been transformed in this book and has translated the passion, love and sacrifices of the soldiers in his package and collection of words. This book not only gives us the opportunity to explore about the lives of the national heroes but also gives us a chance that how a soldier thinks and what feelings does he possess about the protection of the homeland. This feeling can’t be purchased even for million dollars this feeling can only be feel by the people who really are patriotic and have love for their country,
On the other side this book has also affected the leaders of the state and they have also admired and appreciated the services of army personnel in the defense of the country.
Concrete Responses.
There is a personal life experience which I would like to share in contrast with the book is that we have seen that our brave soldiers sacrifice their social and domestic life for the security of the motherland. The term sacrifice is the main thing which has been highlighted and being focused in the book, this in actual shows the commitment and passion regarding the country’s national interest. In context to my personal experience when I was of young age my parents sent me to Boys Hostel in a Missionary School, at first I was little disturbed, ragged and irritated by the loneliness and pain of living away from home but steadily and gradually I made friends and life was back to normal but still the feeling of living away from home can only be felt by myself. As the time passes on and I would feel myself comfortable with the atmosphere and environment of the boys hostel and I felt that now this is my second home because I had spent a lot of time there. When I passed out from that School then I understood and I realized that my parents wanted me to have a better and secure future that is why they wanted me to sacrifice few years for the betterment and prosperity of future, because "education can bring you wealth as well as the knowledge but wealth cannot bring education.”This is the same case with the soldiers of our country they are sacrificing their present to secure our future and this devotion and passion is precious then diamonds. Their efforts are highly honored and appreciated and must be saluted with lots of dignity & respect.
Reflection.
There are some interesting and captivating points in the book about the lives of the soldiers and their social well-being that how the warriors spend their lives but what actually bothers is that they don’t get enough time to spend with their families and this is just because of their national duties and safeguarding the national interest.
The book has some positive factors too which highlighted and focused on the real sacrifices and efforts which have been made by the army men and personnel in general and has explained the real problems and situations which has been faced by the author too , because the author belongs to the U.S army. It has generally discussed the main and focal problems faced by the soldiers and the patience which has been shown by the warriors is exemplary and has matched high standards. This really has energize the public and encouraged youngsters and motivated parents to send their at least one child to the army for ...
