This has resulted to lower wages, loss of employment, financial insecurity, food insecurity and inability to cater for expenses among the youth population. Moreover, this contributes to limited access to food and technology. Youths especially with preexisting conditions like HIV, depression and anxiety also experience poor medical adherence which instigate heightened symptoms during the pandemic (Center for Disease Control and Protection, 2021). This is because the measures enacted to deal with the youth insecurities were unavailable to the youths aged out of school based sevices.
