The Case for the Creator
Question 1
Religion is a diverse field in life and requires one to have a conviction that will give him or her the needed identity on earth. Before the creation class, I was of the opinion that the universe came into existence after God created it. The light and darkness that distinguishes day and night are crucial in the creation story that I had in mind before attending this class and watching scientific documentaries. Although many people believe that the evolution story would better explain the origin of the universe, my viewpoint differs significantly from them since there are some missing links in such a story. From ‘The Case for the Creator’ written and directed by Lee Strobel, the scientific explanation that involves the use of amino acids to create humans can be misleading and should not be depended upon. In fact, believing that the origin of the universe can be explained through scientific laws conflicts the Biblical creation story that I have known for a long time. Thus, I believe that science and religion cannot be used collaboratively in explaining the creation of the universe since the former tries to look for faults in the later to win the argument.
