Detroit city grew as a hub of waterborne commerce and node of the great rail. City was full of industries, for example, car industries and boat or ship body building manufacturing industries. Political Mismanagement and Crime
Detroit was led by a passionate crusader whose anger was understandable but unhelpful. In 1916, James Michael Curley’s first term as mayor, commanded British recruiting officer to get rid of Protestant Bostonians who were opposing Curley to be elected as a major (Glaeser, 2011).
