JS Jerng and SF Huang, in their journal "Workplace Interpersonal Conflict" 2017, define Workplace interpersonal conflict as a dynamic process that happens between individuals, groups or even both as they experience negative emotions leading to disagreements and failure in attaining the intended objectives.
In the beginning, organizational staff conflicts seem harmless and just a difference in ideologies between colleagues, but in the long run, if not well managed, resulting in significant crises, including organizational failure.
In this context, this is the case of conflict of interest and ideological differences. The conflict begins where Jim, the director, has his interest in hiring Nikki for the position of Mental Health Therapist in a mental centre facility. Keith and John do not have any issue with Nikki’s hiring. On the other hand, Laura suggests expanding the search, which in her opinion, it may lead to the hiring of even a
