Analysis of the Differences between Advanced Nursing Practice and Advanced Practice Nursing
Advanced nursing practice refers to a level of nursing practice that utilizes wide-ranging skills, knowledge, and skills in nursing care. Advanced nursing practice, on the other hand, is defined as the level of nursing practice that has additional training and education on how to analyze and treat illnesses. Apart from their variation in definition, there are other differences between the two practices ranging from education, types of duties, prescription of medications, common practice settings, progressive education requirements, and successful personalities.
To begin with, currently, in advanced nursing practice, a master of science in nursing in mandatory and a doctor of the nursing practice is needed in the future (Cooper et al., 2019). On the other hand, in advanced practice nursing, the APRNs are required to have at least a master's degree in one of the specializations in APRN exams (Cooper et al., 2019).
